In Mafia wars, how do you protect, and repair properties and ask help from your Mafia?
I am new to this game. I'm a Mac user and currently on level 13, I don't see any buttons or any helps that indicate how I can repair and protect property. I keep on getting robbed and I don't know how to defend my property
Click the "Repair" and then "Protect" buttons beside your properties on the page where you purchase them.

Mafia Wars - property shut down
Mafia Wars: Why some can invest in properties, and others have rackets?
I know people who joined Mafia Wars on FB before me, and they have properties. And I know people who have just joined and they too have properties, while I was stuck with the stupid rackets!
Anyone know why this anomaly?

I personally like Rackets better... Properties have upkeep and just give you cash.
Rackets on the other hand have no upkeep (just collect them in specified time limit), They give you cash as well as Boosts. I get 50 Boxer Dogs, Scrapyard (+65 defence skill) every 2 days! Also I get 40 truck drivers (-6 energy on jobs), 2 times a day.
