How do I fix my live news feed so I don't see mafia wars, etc?
& similar games/applications. So that when I scroll down my live news feed I can just see things like status updates, & not what people have been up to on things like mafia wars. thanks!
& while I'm at it- why do I have to manually switch my news feed to "live news feed" every time after I log onto fb? It used to be set up differently. How do I make it so it's always "live feed", not "news feed". Because I noticed the live one is the only one that gives all recent posts/status updates. What's the use for the news feed anyway if it doesn't give you the latest posts???? I'm confused.
When Facebook implemented the news feed, they set it as default view every time you log in so there's not much you can do to change that. Once you set it to live feed, it will stay that way until you log off or close out your browser session.
Regarding the applications, when you see one show up in your live feed, hover the mouse over it and you should see the word "Hide" appear in the upper-right corner. Click this and you will no longer see that application show up in your feed. This does not impact your friends' status updates, only updates for the specific applications you choose to Hide.

If I hide a person from my news feed on Facebook, will they still show up on my live feed?
I want my news feed to show close friends, but I still want my live feed to show everyone. I play Mafia Wars and would like those posts still. Can I just choose who is in the news feed while leaving everyone in the live feed? Please help!
